Twitter for iOS: Periscope filter searches

Posted by dotmaster on May 28, 2016 in News |

The iOS version of Twitter features a new search criteria. It is possible to search for Periscope broadcasts related to keywords or hashtags (hashtags).

For 3 years, the iOS version of Twitter offers several search criteria. These let you restrict (filter) search results to tweets containing photos, videos, news, users or people and now Periscope broadcasts.
This is a further step in the integration of Periscope at Twitter. Users will be able to more easily find broadcasts associated with thematic or less specific keywords. To search for Periscope broadcasts, enter a keyword in the search field and press the icon “Refine Results”.

Before the arrival of the search criterion, it was possible to do this type of search by entering keywords and including the hashtag #Periscope.

However, there was often the results that are not necessarily included a Periscope broadcast, but only the hashtag. Now, the new criterion always includes one or more broadcasts that are related to keywords searched.
